In continuation of the agreement reached in London
last September, of my letter of April 11th, 1949, your Department's reply, K.D.8301/47 IXX, of April 13th and Sur-rtxeni'a reply, of April 27th (copy attached), and of our interview in your office on June 14th, I write to add to our letter of april 27th the maggestion that the proposals made in sections (II) and (III) of your letter of April
13th, 1949 which in fact re-introduce the 60% limitatiem, be changed to an agreement on the following lines between

the Education Department and much Grant Schools as accept the option proposed in your letter of April 13 thi
(1) An audited statement of the accounts of the Day
School section of the school ineluding insome from all
moureas should be submitted annually by the School managers
to the wirestor.
(2) The Director reserves the right net to recommend any grants from ŭovernment for major repairs, in cases where he considera se school is able secure the full amount
quired from the parents, or other sources.
(3) The Directer alse reserves the right to recommend reduction in total recurrent grant should the audited
accounts show that the Eanagers are not making reasonable use of any margin that may remain in their hands at the end of the
financial year.
